Arizona Divorce Records Search

Divorce records in Arizona are maintained by the Clerk of the Superior Court in the county where the event occurred. Marriage and divorce records are not available from the Office of Vital Records.

Divorce records may be obtained from the Clerk of the Superior Court by mail, fax, or phone.  If the request is for a divorce decree, it should be made clear if the request is just for the divorce decree, or if the property settlement and custody agreement is also needed.  If the records are needed for a name change with the Social Security Administration, it must be specified in the request.

Details to be submitted in order to obtain divorce records are:

  • specific documents to be received
  • case number
  • names of the parties at the time the case was filed
  • filing date or year
  • number of pages of the document to be copied;
  • day-time phone number of the applicant.

The applicant must possess a Debit, Visa or Mastercard because payment of fees is made using a debit or credit card.  Copying fees are $0.50 per page, and the shipping and handling fee is $7.00.  An additional fee of $26.00 is charged to certify any document.

If your request for the records is via mail, a self-addressed stamped envelope or a check for shipping and handling in the amount of $7.00 is to b submitted along with the request.

If you wish to get the records faxed, you must indicate on the request that you would like the documents to be faxed back.  Also include your fax number.  Faxing fees are $0.50 per page faxed, plus a $7.00 fax fee.  Certified copies cannot be obtained via fax.

If the required information cannot be furnished, a fee of $26.00 is to be paid for each year to be researched and for each name researched.  Processing time for requests made over phone and fax is two weeks.
